9 : Journalism

I realized many of my friends no longer relied on the traditional methods of getting their news ( No more newspaper or watching the usual morning news), instead most of them relied on internet for news. (Google news, BBC news online, the Temasek Review).

This again signified how much internet is affecting our lives, we are changing from our usual lifestyle because of its intrusion and the immerse among of time that we spent on the net, and our smartphones. Frankly speaking, I am guilty of doing so. I usually do not read much news from the usual medium but from twitter and other online sources,

As mentioned by Mr. Choy, WEB 2.0 is interactive and user-generated, it is no surprise that many normal people is able to become an online journalist. Normal people can just post whatever ( Book Reviews, Food Reviews, or on any current affairs ) they want on their blogs, myspace, etc. and with a little publicity , *TADA* they are online journalists! 


However, we do have to take note of what we read and believe in. This is especially so since everyone can be an online journalist. In addition, we have to be cautious of the agenda behind these publications in the blog.
